New for 2012 are the Grand Prix championships that we will be running for drivers that don’t have the preparation time available to compete in race meetings as “owner” drivers but still want to get all the extra benefits that becoming a club racer offers!
Children:
Separate championships will be created for the 8 to 11 and 12 to 15 year olds. The format will be based around an “MSA” style meeting with 3 heats, the points of which will give them their grid positions for a final. With arrival 60 minutes before “heat one” and the final finishing 60 minutes after the start of “heat one”, the session should require you here for about 2.5 hrs “arrival to departure” allowing for the post race presentation. After each race the top three drivers will receive trophies and ALL entrants will get their own “lap time certificate”. Naturally many drivers will want to use their own racewear but we will have all kit available if required.
Adults:
The GP1 race, which features a 15 mins. qualifying followed griding up and then a race through to the end of the hour….. !!! With arrival 60 minutes before qualifying start and the race finishing 60 minutes after the start of qualifying, the session should require you here for about 2.5 hrs “arrival to departure” allowing for the post race presentation (and an après race pint perhaps?). After each race the top three drivers will receive trophies and ALL entrants will get their own “lap time certificate”. Naturally many drivers will want to use their own racewear but we will have all kit available if required.

RYE HOUSE SUPPORTS MENSWEAR FASHION, BOXFRESH
Rye House has teamed with UK lifestyle brand Boxfresh and M + P models to support a fashion competition to find the face of Boxfresh for Spring Summer 2012.* Boxfresh are the original British streetwear originators, spanning over two decades of youth culture. The new SS12 collection of both clothing and footwear is one of the strongest yet; having explored their own archives of utility, workwear and streetwear styling a newly inspired range of perfect workwear aesthetic has been created.
M&P Model Agency was created as a boutique agency with a unique approach. Their relationship with major clients and international agencies along with their good eye for models creates an ideal environment for creating stars. M&P’s vision, belief and passion have allowed them to build a foundation for M&P that works to the best advantage to any model represented. M&P has worked closely with Boxfresh for a number of years and have developed a close relationship with the brand. We whole heartedly support their ethos and we love working with the British streetwear originators!
The M&P scouting team were out in force in 3 major UK shopping destinations searching for a fresh face to feature in Boxfresh’s SS12 look book and a chance to win a contract with M&P. The destinations will be released via social media platforms where potential contenders will be invited by M&P to have their photograph taken to be in with the chance of winning this nationwide competition.
"We are looking for great new guys between the ages of 16 - 24 years old. Height requirements should be minimum of 6'0 (1.83) and 6'3"
The contestants will be judged by a panel of judges including representatives from M&P Models and Boxfresh as well as other industry experts at an exclusive catwalk event to be held on the 27th September.
* Rye House has contributed 10 prize vouchers for karting experiences to the winner and finalists at the event held at Concrete, Lower Ground Floor, 56 Shoreditch High Street, London E1 6JJ.

LEWIS HAMILTON VISITS RYE HOUSE FOR JOHNNIE WALKER ADVERT
Lewis Hamilton, the youngest ever Formula One World Champion - knew from a very young age that in life you should never give up on your dreams. In his early years on the track, there were those in the race community that didn't believe he had what it takes to become a champion. But he never gave, he knew that one day he would drive a Formula One car - and beat the rest. Accompany this giant on a unique audio walk around Rye House Racetrack in Hoddeson - the track where it all began.
