However, there do need to be a few rules set! So here goes V1 of the R&R’s…

1 – Signing on will be done at 9am at the Bar in the main building.
2 – Transponders – will be issued at signing on.
3 – Scrutineering – There isn’t any. It’s your responsibility to ensure your kart is track worthy. Anything you do for Open Practice to ensure that your kart isn’t going to fall to pieces should be done before the race starts! However… We will still refuse entry or black flag any karts that have obvious/dangerous issues!
4 – Format
9:30am – 10:00 – 30 minute practice and qualifying. The fastest lap time will start p1 for the race, next in p2 and so on down to the slowest in last place.
10:15 – 11:45 – 90 minute race. Starting with a rolling start.
5 – Safety Equipment. Full face crash Helmet, Gloves, Boots (that protect ankles) and of course a suitable racesuit!
6 – Fuel – Standard 95 RON unleaded.
7 – Transponders – included in the price and you can collect when signing on! These MUST be returned after the race is over! Failure to do so WILL see you banned from the track!
8 – Flags – You all know them by now. Adhere to them! One to note will be the Battenberg Flag. If somebody breaks down on track then this will be shown to ensure the track is slower to help drivers retrieve their karts and get back out.
9 – Engines – Rotax or Rotax Evo only
10 – Tyres – Open. Run whatever you want! Please make sure they’ll last for the endurance!
11 – Kart Numbers – Up to you!
12 – Weight – 170kg (with your lightest driver) The weight has been set in the middle of Snr & 177 classes. Under no circumstances must lead weights be removed or added in between driver changes!
13 – Age – Minimum of 16
14 – Pitstops. A minimum of TWO pitstops must be completed, these can be for driver change and/or refuelling. EVERYTIME you enter the pits you MUST go through the weigh scale. Failing to do so will incur a penalty (see Penalties). Engines MUST be switch off before passing/entering the refuelling bays.
15 – Refuelling. You must refuel at least ONCE. Be it a splash and dash or a full tank. You can ONLY refuel in the designated refuelling bays in Parc Ferme. The kart MUST be switched OFF and the driver MUST be out of the kart at the ENGINES OFF boards, prior to refuelling. Once refuelled, a driver must get back into the kart and the kart pushed passed the RESTART ENGINES sign. Only then can you restart the kart. THE kart MUST have a driver in the seat in between refuelling and the ENGINES ON sign otherwise a penalty will be applied (see penalties)
16 – Leaving pitlane. You must NOT leave the pitlane unless the marshal has waved you onto the track. Leaving the pitlane without authorisation may endanger yourself or others. Other than the potential loss of life, you will also receive a penalty (see penalties!)
17 – Breakdowns. When you breakdown (lets face it, it’ll happen!) Only the drivers (ie team mates) can retrieve the kart. A Battenberg flag will be displayed, slowing the track down to enable you to retrieve the kart. Once the kart is back in the pitlane you can fix the issue. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES MUST YOU ATTEMPT TO FIX THE KART ON THE TRACK. See penalties
18 – Prize fund – £10 from each team will go ‘into the pot’ Winner takes the pot! 2nd place… will receive nothing other than the glory of being 1st place of the losers!
