With a 55 minute qualifying session, followed by a full on 12 hour endurance through the night, team Rye are excited to announce the Daddy of all races is back for 2018.

Following the HUGE success of the last 5 year’s 12 hour events, Rye House presents… “THE REV-ERENDUM” – 23rd June 2018

A year ago we were voting on Europe, today we vote on driver changes……

Simply grab some mates, work colleagues or random people, get your team together, follow the link below and book in. Who’ll be crowned the 2018 champion???

Age:
All drivers must be 16yrs + and bring I.D.
Drivers under 18yrs must be signed in by an adult.

Facilities:
The café will be open throughout the whole event.
Overnight, the briefing room will become a driver’s “dormer” please feel to bring sleeping bags etc. if you wish.
There is no charge for spectating, teams are encouraged to bring guests along.
Toilets, washrooms and changing facilities will be available throughout the whole event.

Racing:
The drivers briefing will take place at 8pm on the 23rd June, any drivers not present WILL NOT RACE.
Qualifying will take place at 9pm, the grid set at 10pm and we will race through until 10am the following day.
Race numbers and karts will be pulled “out of the hat” at the very start of the drivers briefing.

A huge thanks to all drivers who took part in “THE DADDY” 12 hour endurance this weekend!

Without doubt this is the best race we have had to date (5th year running), with various abilities, some old hands, some brand new, not just for the boys, but some rapid lady drivers too!

Race control, staff and directors, “to a man” have all said what a pleasure it was to run and how much they enjoyed it!!!

The commentary & live timing, new to 2017, were a big feature and enjoyed by all!

We very much look forward to 2018 and as word in the pits alluded to a possible 24 hour!! Register your interest below:

Dear Drivers,

Once again, thanks for entering the 2017 12 Hour Endurance. It’s quite literally “all hands on deck” for team Rye to ensure everything is in order & ready for “The Daddy” of all events. That said we’re all buzzing to get the show on the road!!!

Whilst we are busy doing our bit, it’s absolutely vital that you guys do your bit:

READ THE RULES & REGS BEFORE YOU ARRIVE – A drivers briefing will be delivered prior to racing however we do expect every driver to be well aware of the rules before hand.

TURN UP ON TIME!!! – As per your booking confirmation, we expect all members from all teams to be here on time. Anyone who don’t make drivers briefing will be unable to participate.

BRING SOME HEADPHONES – This year see’s Sir Alex Goldschmidt on the commentary mic. Not only will Alex be keeping tabs on all the action on track but he will also be updating team info across the World Wide Web. That’s right! Your friends & family can tune in to the commentary whilst watching the race unfold via live timing….

BE SAFE!!! – We know the thought of winning is glorious but let’s not forget its “A 12 HOUR RACE….”, don’t be a silly billy!

ENJOY YOURSELF – Anyone not smiling will be penalised On a serious note, we will not tolerate any abusive or threatening behaviour to staff or other drivers. We will do our best to ensure everything runs as it should. Any misbehaving on or off the race track will be dealt with accordingly!

Good afternoon racers,

We’re now up to 21 teams on the grid & currently working on the rules & regulations to send out to all participants prior to the 24th June 2017.

With only 5 teams remaining & several weeks left before kick off, we anticipate that this event will be a sell out! Therefore we really do recommend to any teams who are considering entering to do so at your earliest convenience to avoid disappointment!

Less than 8 weeks to go and Rye House Kart Raceway in Hoddesdon, Herts are thrilled to report that the 12 hour team endurance karting event is generating a phenomenal response!! With only 7 spaces left on the grid out of a maximum capacity of 26 karts, the team at Rye are super excited to get the grueling format underway!!

Race co-ordinator Kevin O’Malley is going to take control and on Saturday 24th June 2017 for the fourth year running!!

“The event is always a big hitter with motor sport enthusiasts. Drivers/teams from all over enjoy participating on the historic raceway as it offers a great test of driver skill! Team tactics really do play a huge part in a race this long but it never seeks to amaze me just how close it is after 12 hours of solid racing!! I truly believe that this year will be the best race thus far!!”
