IKR London Cup – 360 Performance

After last weeks announcement that ScreedForce have been awesome and sponsored the Alpha Live production for this years London Cup, we’ve got more MEGA news…

Rye House are proud to announce 360 Performance are giving away prizes for the TOP THREE for this years London Cup.

The top three in ALL FIVE classes will get some fab training in their kart simulator at the HQ in Milton Keynes. 1st places will get THREE hours, 2nd places TWO hours and 3rd place will get an hour of tuition and training.

Not racing but want to see how good (or bad!) you are?

360 Performance are bring a kart sim to the track! They’ll be in the main hospitality suite where you’ll be able to hoon around on their simulator and still get out looking as fresh as a daisy (lets face it, some of the karters look SHATTERED after their racing!).

So if you were’nt already booked in, there’s even more reason to do so!!!

We’re also speaking to a few more companies, so hopefully there’s more to come!

On a quick note – JUNIOR ROTAX, there’s currently FOUR booked in. We do need a minimum of 10 to run this grid, so if you are planning to enter, please don’t leave it too late. Current entry list is HERE

IKR London Cup – Alphalive

Rye House are proud to announce The London Cup 2019 will be held on the 12th & 13th of October!

Today we are delighted to announce that this year Screedforce Ltd will be sponsoring the live coverage and as such, Alphalive will be in attendance on the Sunday to live stream all the heats and finals!

The grids are slowly filling up. Thank you to everyone who has booked in already!

There are currently THREE Junior Rotaxs booked in. As we have said, there MUST be at least TEN booked in prior to the end of August, or the grid will not go ahead. Head over the the ryehouseikr.co.uk website to book in.

R&R will be up in the coming weeks, but will closely follow our established IKR Championship.

IKR London Cup 2019

Rye House are proud to announce The London Cup 2019 will be held on the 12th & 13th of October!

With the success of last the 2018 event we can’t help but think this year is going to be EVEN better. Classes will be:

Bambino Comer (2 grids – 30 entrants)
Honda Cadet (1 grid – 30 entrants)
Junior Rotax (1 grid – 25 entrants)
Senior Rotax (2 grids – 40 entrants)
177 Rotax (2 grids – 40 entrants)

JUNIOR ROTAX – PLEASE NOTE
As you can see, this year we are adding the JUNIOR ROTAX grid. We have had many enquiries so we shall see if this year is different to the last couple of years. The last couple of years we have tried to get a grid for this class, but to no avail. Hopefully this year will be different. HOWEVER… we will NOT run any class with lass than 10 entrants. If the Junior Rotax class does not have at least TEN entrants by 31st August, then this class will be removed.

ITINERARY
This will be a TWO day event. Practice for all classes will take place on the Saturday, with your last session being QUALIFYING! Sunday will cover all the heats and finals.

IKR – Itinerary Change

From Round 5 (June) Sunday morning testing has GONE. The day will start with a 3 lap practice to check transponders and then go straight into racing! The price has also dropped to £55 (for the standard four classes)!

Anyone who has already paid, will be credited £10 into their Alpha account, so next time you book in, it’ll knock £10 off (drivers that have moved from previous events won’t be applicable to the refund).

Signing on will stay the usual and scrutineering will be shortened to an hour. We’ll bring driver briefing forward and should get the day underway around 10:30, rather than lunchtime-ish!

The circuit will run this new itinerary for the remainder of the year and see how things go. Naturally, with the RHPK Championship moving to the first weekend of the month, we still have exclusive testing on the Saturday if you need it.

This rounds itinerary will go up a week or so before, but the day SHOULD finish around 3ish, providing there are no issues!

Lotus Spring Cup

The first race of the year saw a dry and grippy track, which would allow our drivers to push the karts to the limit. Father and son team and seasoned drivers Ken and Stanley Jones, RHDC Senna Cup’s Shaun Mcgrath and experienced driver Rory Gordon set the first round up to be a tough competition. The late addition of Rye House Superstars Wayne Edwards and Jaunius Zukas, from the RHPK endurance championship, added to the already strong grid.

Race 1

With a randomised grid for race 1, and a reversed order for race 2, there was always going to be lots of overtaking and jostling for position on the opening laps. But biggest movers were Jaunius and Wayne, who gained a massive 7 and 11 places respectively. By the end of the twenty minute race it was Stanley Jones who took the top spot, Jaunius Zukas in second place and Ken Jones with the fastest lap (42.192) in third place.

Race 2

Race 2 saw the grid reversed and some of the more experienced drivers further back and having to fight through the tightly packed field. Ben O’Conner had an excellent race gaining 10 positions on his way to 4^th place, but the podium drivers managed to do it again, with Jaunius Zukas taking the win from 7^th place, second place went to Stanley Jones, as well as the fastest lap (42.174) and third to his father Ken. Andrew Turvey managed to progress past 6 drivers to finish in 7^th place, and Caitlyn Gibbs managed a top 10 finish in her senior kart debut.

Overall this year’s Lotus Cup is shaping up to be a great battle, with many drivers all gunning for race wins and even more drivers who could be challenging for podium places as the season goes on.

SUTTON CUP 2018 NOW OPEN

Due to the success of our junior arrive & drive hire championships (branded the Rye House Drivers Club), we are now delighted to open the latest 2018 series; The Sutton Cup!!

Racing on the bespoke BIZ EVO championship fleet & powered by Honda, the RHDC at Rye enables children aged 8-15 years of age the absolute best hire outfit at an affordable cost!!
For drivers that don’t have the preparation time available to compete in race meetings as “owner” drivers but still want to get all the extra benefits that becoming a club racer offers! Not only are the karts faster than previous years, but they will also remain in optimum condition allowing a fair and level race series! You will not find another championship in the UK offering a bespoke fleet of race karts!

With arrival 60 minutes before practice and the final finishing 60 minutes after the start of practice, the session should require you here for about 2.5 hrs “arrival to departure” allowing for the post race presentation. After each race the top three drivers will receive trophies and ALL entrants will get their own “lap time certificate”. Naturally many drivers will want to use their own race wear but we will provide all kit, if required.

RHDC Easter Scholarship event!

The 2018 season has seen a massive influx in new Junior Championship drivers battling it out in the TWELVE available Championships.

We are proud to announce THIS Easter, we have a fantastic opportunity to win FREE Entry into a BRAND NEW 2018 RHDC Junior Championship starting in April.

The RHDC Scholarship will consist of a 20 minute ‘qualifying’ session. The FASTEST DRIVER from each session, throughout Easter will be invited back to the Scholarship Elimination race. Who will be the 2018 RHDC Scholarship winner???

NEW 2018 HIRE KART CHAMPIONSHIP FOR ADULTS 16+

After the success of the last 8 seasons and this year’s subsequent SELL OUT of the Senna Cup 2018, we are creating a SECOND ADULT championship that we will be running for drivers that don’t have the preparation time available to compete in race meetings as “owner” drivers but still want to get all the extra benefits that becoming a club racer offers!

THE LOTUS CUP!!

Like the Senna Cup, this championship will alternate between straight GP60 and 2 x Reversed Grid Races format, on a monthly basis.

After each race the top three drivers will receive trophies and ALL entrants will get their own “lap time certificate”. Naturally many drivers will want to use their own racewear but we will have all kit available if required.

The championship will start in April and run through to November on the dates below, we will be operating a drop score, meaning your worst result is discounted, or alternatively if you iss a round, it won’t affect your championship campaign.

Spring Cup: 21st April
Round 1: 26th May
Round 2: 23rd June

Round 3: 21st July
Round 4: 25th August
Round 5: 22nd September
Round 6: 20th October
Round 7: 24th November

On the facebook group “Rye House Drivers Club (RHDC)”, friends or family will able to watch the race “live” and listen to commentary from our very own Sam Green. The race, lap by lap, will also be view-able “live” through our Alpha timing telemetry system.

Each driver will get FREE membership to the Rye House drivers Club. The championships will get FULL web exposure on our own website with regular updates to the championship points. There will be a full championship presentation, in December, to include an annual trophy. Driver’s club members receive preferential rates on practice events.

We are looking for commitment to the WHOLE Lotus Cup with a 50% deposit to book, the rest prior to round 1, so please contact the booking office by phone or email for more information.
