After last weeks announcement that ScreedForce have been awesome and sponsored the Alpha Live production for this years London Cup, we’ve got more MEGA news…

Rye House are proud to announce 360 Performance are giving away prizes for the TOP THREE for this years London Cup.

The top three in ALL FIVE classes will get some fab training in their kart simulator at the HQ in Milton Keynes. 1st places will get THREE hours, 2nd places TWO hours and 3rd place will get an hour of tuition and training.

Not racing but want to see how good (or bad!) you are?

360 Performance are bring a kart sim to the track! They’ll be in the main hospitality suite where you’ll be able to hoon around on their simulator and still get out looking as fresh as a daisy (lets face it, some of the karters look SHATTERED after their racing!).

So if you were’nt already booked in, there’s even more reason to do so!!!

We’re also speaking to a few more companies, so hopefully there’s more to come!

On a quick note – JUNIOR ROTAX, there’s currently FOUR booked in. We do need a minimum of 10 to run this grid, so if you are planning to enter, please don’t leave it too late. Current entry list is HERE

IKR London Cup – Alphalive

Rye House are proud to announce The London Cup 2019 will be held on the 12th & 13th of October!

Today we are delighted to announce that this year Screedforce Ltd will be sponsoring the live coverage and as such, Alphalive will be in attendance on the Sunday to live stream all the heats and finals!

The grids are slowly filling up. Thank you to everyone who has booked in already!

There are currently THREE Junior Rotaxs booked in. As we have said, there MUST be at least TEN booked in prior to the end of August, or the grid will not go ahead. Head over the the ryehouseikr.co.uk website to book in.

R&R will be up in the coming weeks, but will closely follow our established IKR Championship.

IKR London Cup 2019

Rye House are proud to announce The London Cup 2019 will be held on the 12th & 13th of October!

With the success of last the 2018 event we can’t help but think this year is going to be EVEN better. Classes will be:

Bambino Comer (2 grids – 30 entrants)
Honda Cadet (1 grid – 30 entrants)
Junior Rotax (1 grid – 25 entrants)
Senior Rotax (2 grids – 40 entrants)
177 Rotax (2 grids – 40 entrants)

JUNIOR ROTAX – PLEASE NOTE
As you can see, this year we are adding the JUNIOR ROTAX grid. We have had many enquiries so we shall see if this year is different to the last couple of years. The last couple of years we have tried to get a grid for this class, but to no avail. Hopefully this year will be different. HOWEVER… we will NOT run any class with lass than 10 entrants. If the Junior Rotax class does not have at least TEN entrants by 31st August, then this class will be removed.

ITINERARY
This will be a TWO day event. Practice for all classes will take place on the Saturday, with your last session being QUALIFYING! Sunday will cover all the heats and finals.

We CANNOT wait!!!!!

IKR – Itinerary Change

From Round 5 (June) Sunday morning testing has GONE. The day will start with a 3 lap practice to check transponders and then go straight into racing! The price has also dropped to £55 (for the standard four classes)!

Anyone who has already paid, will be credited £10 into their Alpha account, so next time you book in, it’ll knock £10 off (drivers that have moved from previous events won’t be applicable to the refund).

Signing on will stay the usual and scrutineering will be shortened to an hour. We’ll bring driver briefing forward and should get the day underway around 10:30, rather than lunchtime-ish!

The circuit will run this new itinerary for the remainder of the year and see how things go. Naturally, with the RHPK Championship moving to the first weekend of the month, we still have exclusive testing on the Saturday if you need it.

This rounds itinerary will go up a week or so before, but the day SHOULD finish around 3ish, providing there are no issues!

As some of you may know from previous emails and social media… The Bambino Festival IS BACK for 2017!

The team at Rye have been working closely with Father Christmas to ensure we pull off an EVEN BIGGER, EVEN BETTER Bambino festival this year!!

A few little tweeks have been made to last years iterary to allow for the extra grid of IAME’s but on the whole, we believe it was such good fun, there is very little to change!

The link below allows you to book in to the biggest Bambino event in the UK which will be TELEVISED!!! So don’t miss out…

Rules, regs & lots more exciting news will be released in the next few weeks but for now, we ask that you book in & continue to spread the word amongst your karting network…… it’s going to be epic!!!!

IMPORTANT REMINDER!!

We are delighted to host the IKR Bmabino Festival 2017 and hope every one of you enjoys the day! With plenty of racing and events taking place on track, we’re pretty sure you will.

Whilst we appreciate some of the more experienced drivers are competing to win, it is of
paramount importance to us that every driver, regardless of position, ENJOYS THEMSELVES!!!

This race is intended to help introduce young drivers in to the sport and we expect each entrant and their associates to behave accordingly. This is an IKR race meeting and it is therefore the sole decision of the circuit and the Clerk of the Course to decide if you have raced in a sporting manner and the Clerk of the Course’s decision is final on all matters.

There is no right of appeal. Please be reminded, it is your sole responsibility to ensure that your kart is track worthy and safe, we do not expect any ungentlemanly behaviour with regard to kart “spec” and will not tolerate any “pit lane gibber” or other “banter” that could embarrass or upset our young drivers.

Updates leading to the London Cup 2017

Dear Drivers, once again thank you for joining us this weekend for Round 6.

The team thoroughly enjoyed the racing and feel that many of the new methods of controlling the day were very successful!!

Of course, it is natural that not every competitor will have gone home satisfied with their result, but hey… that’s racing!

Overall, we consider the series to be delivering what was promised; its challenging, controlled, great value & most importantly; great fun!!

As we often highlight, the team are simply here to control the day & enforce the rules to the best of our ability allowing you to do what you enjoy most, race!

As a series that is pinned on working with the competitors to ensure a fantastic day out, It’s great to see that most of you are on board and wish to see it a success!

With this in mind, the time has come to give you all a holler with regards to the London Cup on the 29th October 2017.

Important driver update

As always, thank you for joining us at Rye House for round 5 of the Independent Kart Racing series on Sunday 9th July. Having been blessed with fantastic weather & grids throughout, it was set to be a cracker!!

As with every round so far, the atmosphere was epic!! Having some top drivers join us is always an honour and much of the racing was awesome to watch with battles up and down the entire grids throughout.

The paddock buzzing with spectators and exciting commentary from Chris McCarthy from the Karting Magazine, the IKR series really is living up to expectations! As a brand new series, we can only get better with experience, therefore we can take great value out of every meeting!

Just a small negative…..

Whilst we appreciate that this is racing and competition is natural, we were not entirely satisfied with the behaviour of some of the drivers/teams on & off the race track.

Going forward, there will be an extremely simple zero tolerance rule to foul language, threatening behaviour or anything of the sort. Should a driver or a member of his/her family/team cause any kind of disruptive behaviour, they will be asked to pack their kart up & leave immediately!

Please remember that this series is pinned on having a fun day out. The team run the series for enjoyment and for your pleasure. We are here to police the event and feel it is paramount that we are able to concentrate on keeping our racing safe!

London Cup Scrutineers Confirmed

Your scrutineers for the London Cup will be Kelvin Nicholls and Ben Moore. They bring a wealth of experience to this event but are equally excited to be part of such a prestigious event, with its glittering array of past winners.

Kelvin Nicholls is probably best known for his work with the Honda Cadet, being the author of the technical regulations and the designer of the check tools for that engine, amongst other things.
Ben Moore is equally at home with the breathtaking Superkarts at Silverstone or club racing at Fulbeck, and he has also worked with Super One and Formula Kart Stars.

They are both much in demand in their fields, although sometimes work together, as is the case at present where they are the resident scrutineers for the RAF MSA Inter-Services Championship.
They have only one aim on the day, and that is to ensure that everyone has an equal chance of success at the London Cup, applying the technical regulations fairly across the various classes.

IT’S COMING BACK FOR 2017!!!

With last year’s success of the Rye House Bambino Festival it would be pretty darn rude if we didn’t bring it back for 2017!!!

With plenty of track action for the 39 Bambino racers who attended… “has been the biggest race meeting for class witnessed in the UK this year” we’re hoping to smash the record for 2017!

Motors TV will be coming along again, fingers crossed Steve ‘Stiggy’ Evans will be bringing the new and improved ‘The Mighty’ to hoon around the track again and of course, Father Christmas will be racing the kids along the Hamilton Straight, all in the name of FUN!!!

It’ll run much like the 2016 Festival, only BETTER!!! with some fantastic added improvements, the team at Rye are confident that this dedicated televised event will be epic!! There’s plenty of ideas in the pot.. perhaps a grid of IAME’S, perhaps we’ll be gridding up & racing!!! But all this is still being finalised. For now, all we need to know is WHO’S INTERESTED??????

Price will be in the £140 per driver region and we’re sure you’ll have more fun this year, than last year!!! Likely to be around the 10th December and will be the LAST meeting on the calendar for 2017 (bhoooooom!!!)

The event will be run independently by the team at Rye and is open to drivers with or without a race licence. If you own a Comer or an IAME & you’d like us to keep you updated, simply register your interest below.

Hi guys, if you’re looking for something interesting to fill your weekend, we’ve a got a busy one on track!!!

The 13th/14th May is an EPIC weekend of Owner Driver racing at Rye House!

Saturday is round 3 of the RHPK Championship. ANOTHER full grid of 36 Prokarts will be competing for top honours! Live on Motors TV.

Sunday will see even more fantastic racing. With grids for Bambino, Cadet, Senior & 177 Rotax battling it out for podium positions.

Spectating is FREE!!!! Pop down, grab a coffee and watch some decent battles throughout the weekend!
