After kitting, briefing and registration, teams will commence 15 minutes practice after which they will race for a further 2 hours. Teams can be between 2 and 5 drivers, you can book as few or as may teams as you like!

We have been really pleased to see the re-emergence of the 2hr Endurance Race, a format that previously gave way for the GP’s. The last few races have been FULLY BOOKED and the next one is expected to follow suit!!

“Motorsport has always been my true passion, and to make a career in the industry has been my ultimate goal as well as becoming brand ambassadors for companies. Back in my karting days I was always very realistic about my potential achievements. Everyone else wanted a career as a Formula One driver, but not me… I could see myself as a Touring Car or GT Driver, and knew it was within my reach. From day one, the British Touring Car Championship has always been a dream for me, I always knew even as a child ‘that’s where I want to be”

Winning multiple club & national championships in his karting career from 2000 – 2009, Sutton switched to the Formula Vee Championship where he went on to win the Rookie of year award that season, finishing 4th in the overall championship.

He made a return to racing in the 2014 British Formula Ford Championship after having been forced to sit out two and half years of racing, following a road car accident. He finished 3rd in the championship that year, taking 5 wins, 16 podiums, 4 pole positions and 10 fastest laps.

For 2015 he switched to the Renault Clio Cup, entering the championship with support from his British Touring Car Championship team. Winning the championship that year, with 6 wins, 14 podiums, 4 pole positions and 4 fastest laps.

In March 2016, it was announced that Sutton would make his British Touring Car Championship debut with MG Racing driving a MG6 GT. He finished 4th in the first race of the season and took his first win in a wet race three at croft. He also won the Jack Sears Trophy. A championship for all the rookies to compete for in there first season.

2017 BTCC. Taking wins at Oulton Park, Croft, Snetterton, Knockhill and Rockingham. He held a 10 point lead at the summit of the championship heading into the finale. Sutton clinched the title in the final race of the season making him the youngest champion since John Fitzpatrick in 1966.

Laser Combat Assistants
Rye House are looking for polite and confident individuals to fill exciting roles in our laser combat arena.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to);

• Greeting customers and ensuring they sign in correctly on arrival.
• Dealing with general inquiries about pricing etc.
• Issuing customers with their safety equipment.
• Ensuring all safety wear is cleaned + kept in a presentable manner.
• Supervising laser combat or Nerf combat in the arena
• Presenting customers with score sheets.
• General maintenance/cleaning duties at the end of a shift.

Applicants MUST be available to work at least one of the following days; FRIDAY, SATURDAY or SUNDAY, as this is when the majority of our events take place. This position is therefore ideal for anyone looking to work around college etc.
Previous experience is not essential as full training will be given.
You will be dealing with customers, predominantly children, therefore, experience in a customer service role and working with children would be beneficial.
Rate of pay will meet government minimum wage requirements for your age group, increases will be subject to performance. Includes holiday pay.
All applicants must be 16 or over, have a NI number, be able to work weekends and allowed to work in the UK.
All applicants will be subject to DBS checks as you will be in contact with children. We provide these checks.

A short & friendly interview sitting will take place on THURSDAY 14th September from 12 noon with intention to trial the following weekend.

This special event enables junior racers, 8-15 years old, the opportunity to take the next step into the world of motor sport on Friday 1st September at 13:00.

Over the last few months the team have been modifying the format for the new Development Sessions to ensure all drivers (and parents) leave the race track absolutely buzzing with their experience!

The idea behind the Development Sesh is to offer “an insight” for juniors that wish to take a competitive stance to racing the opportunity to do so against their peers. Having run several Development Sessions so far, the feedback has been ultra successful and growing in popularity!!

These sessions are great fun and a real opportunity for your children to get a better insight into actual “racing” at Rye House rather than just the arrive and drive or Birthday sessions.

Priced to sell at £39.99, the session unfolds as follows:

Arrival: 12:00 noon for sign in
Drivers briefing: 12:30 – 12:50
Driver Development: 13:00 onward

Albeit just an insight, our dedicated driver coaches instruct all racers on format, racing lines & most importantly; safety rules! The session lasts approximately 3.5 hours from arrival to departure & includes all the equipment.

The team will also be scouting drivers (based on ability, not results) for eligibility to the Rye House Drivers Club Championships. That aside, it really is an excellent day out for just £39.99 per head!!

The concept is simple; Combine a season of arrive & drive racing on a monthly basis, behind the wheel of the fastest karts in the industry, on a track that is regarded as the greatest test of driver skill! High speeds, hard braking and fast cornering on the 1km outdoor racetrack in variant weather conditions is just the beginning! Racing our custom fleet of Honda 5.5 BHP de-governed “Champ Karts”, this special fleet have been purpose built to race spec, with better handling and more power; and will only be used by RHDC drivers. Without doubt this is the best race we have had to date (5th year running), with various abilities, some old hands, some brand new, not just for the boys, but some rapid lady drivers too!

Race control, staff and directors, “to a man” have all said what a pleasure it was to run and how much they enjoyed it!!!

The commentary & live timing, new to 2017, were a big feature and enjoyed by all!

The team at Rye-Assic are delighted to announce the first Sunday Session on the 4th June 2017 was a great success!!Dedicated to children with additional needs, the feedback was 100% positive!!!

Don’t miss out on upcoming sessions as there are limited numbers…

Sessions will be run for families with children who have additional needs (siblings welcome to join) to relax, have a coffee & meet new friends whilst the children play in a fun, safe environment!

We are taking into consideration the children’s needs therefore music will be “background only”, there will be no flashing lights & wristbands will be issued but not expected to be worn.
