Who Can Enter

The Senna Cup Championship is open to racers aged 16+. Designed in a professional Grand Prix format, it provides the perfect competitive platform for drivers ready to take their racing seriously.

Each round includes practice, qualifying to set the grid, and a full race — delivering a complete and authentic motorsport experience.

Race Format Explained

Every event follows a structured and engaging format, giving drivers a true race-day experience from start to finish. Sessions begin with practice and qualifying, allowing drivers to learn the circuit and set their pace before lining up on the grid to race all the way to the chequered flag. This clear progression builds confidence, race awareness, and excitement as competitors advance through each stage of the event.

We offer multiple formats for our RHDC grid, including:

  • Grand Prix Format: 15-minute qualifying session followed by racing through to the end of the hour.
  • Split Race Format: 5-minute practice session followed by two races of approximately 20 minutes each.

Each format is designed to maximise track time while delivering competitive, action-packed racing.

Event Day Schedule

Drivers should arrive 60 minutes before practice begins, with the event concluding approximately 60 minutes after the start of practice, including the podium presentation.

From arrival to departure, the full experience lasts around 2.5 hours — giving maximum track action within a manageable time commitment.

Trophies, Recognition & Race Gear

Performance and effort are recognised at every round, celebrating both consistency and outright pace. Trophies are awarded to the top three finishers, with additional recognition for the fastest lap of the race. Every driver also receives a personalised lap time certificate to mark their achievement on track.

Drivers are welcome to wear their own race kit, or they can take advantage of the comprehensive race gear provided on-site — ensuring everyone arrives on the grid fully equipped and race-ready.

Season Structure

The full championship is priced at £850 and includes a Winter Cup event in February. This non-points round allows drivers to familiarise themselves with the format before the main season begins.

The 9-round championship runs from March to November, with competitors able to drop their lowest-scoring round to allow for holidays or unforeseen absences.

Testing & Driver Development

The annual RHDC programme includes dedicated monthly test sessions, along with reduced fees for casual track bookings.

With regular seat time and structured competition, drivers have everything they need to improve, compete, and grow throughout the 2026 season.

Frequently asked questions

Is karting safe?

At Rye House Kart Raceway, the safety of every driver and visitor is our highest priority. Our karts and circuit are maintained to exceptional standards and undergo regular inspections to ensure they meet strict safety and operational requirements.

We provide all essential safety equipment and deliver thorough safety briefings before every session. Listening carefully and following our team’s instructions is your part in ensuring a safe, fair, and enjoyable race experience for everyone on track.

While we take every possible precaution and operate to rigorous standards, karting is a fast-paced motorsport activity and, as with any sport, there is always a degree of inherent risk.

Do you have height and weight limits?

Our adult karts are suitable for drivers with a minimum height of 5'0" (152.4cm) and a maximum height of 6'8" (203.2cm).

Our junior karts are designed for drivers between 4'2" (127cm) and 6'0" (183cm) in height.

All of our karts feature adjustable seats and pedals to help achieve a comfortable driving position. However, as with any kart, there are practical limits to the range of adjustment.

While minimum height requirements are fixed for safety reasons, maximum height can be more variable. In most cases, drivers up to 6'8" (205cm) can be accommodated, although taller drivers may experience reduced comfort depending on body proportions.

Weight and body shape can also affect fit. Two drivers of the same weight may fit differently depending on their build, as seat width and upper body proportions play a role in comfort and positioning within the kart.

If you have any concerns about suitability, we strongly recommend contacting us before your visit. Our team will be happy to advise and can arrange for you to try a kart for size in advance where possible.

Is there food and drinks on site?

Refreshments are always available, although the café itself may be closed during quieter, off-peak periods. When open, our on-site café offers a range of food and drinks to keep you fuelled throughout your visit.

We do recommend avoiding a heavy meal before heading out on track — high-speed racing and a full stomach aren’t always the best combination. Enjoy your karting first and reward yourself with a well-earned meal afterwards.

Staying hydrated is equally important, particularly in warmer weather. Karting is more physically demanding than many expect, so be sure to drink plenty of water before and after your session.

Do I need a driving licence?

No, you do not need a driving licence but you must be at least 16* years old and abide by our terms and conditions.

*Drivers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who will be required to countersign the drivers indemnity form.

Can I bring spectators or guests?

Yes, we have the best facilities in the UK – family, guests and spectators are always welcome without charge.
