Rye House aspires to provide a fun & friendly race meeting for all!

The 8 round championship kicks off in February 2024 and ends in September 2024. Each round falls on the third Sunday of the month.

Regarded by many as one of the most technical tracks to master! Rye House has seen many greats grace the circuit including Jenson Button, David Coulthard, Lewis Hamilton and Ash Sutton.

With so many greats already starting out at Rye… it’s now YOUR turn!

Since the fragmentation of the HKC in 2016 (our MSA affiliated club), team Rye are extremely proud to have built a well-attended independent race series to ensure the circuit remains in the presence of owner driver sprint racing!

Having spent the last 7 years running solo, our framework has always been to focus on safety, good fun, strong grids & of course; encouraging more drivers into the sport via other streams of the business.

The IKR series really has exceeded expectations hence why we have been invited to become a fully-fledged member of the MSUK once again.

Why change?
Aside from the credibility of becoming a member of a recognised organisation, through the permit, we automatically fall under the governing body’s £100,000,000 public liability insurance policy.

Having recently been rebranded, reassembled & restructured, Motorsport UK really is on target to revitalise our sport! With their new approach, Motorsport UK have adopted many of the IKR processes to eliminate the detrimental issues to club level racing. In a nutshell, they are cutting out (what some might call) the nonsense and focussing on consistent blanket policies to ensure racers receive a uniform experience across the country.

In tandem, Motorsport UK are also supporting circuits with staff training and assistance to allow racetrack employees to become licenced, therefore, much of the team at Rye House will remain at your service!

Rye House Kart Club Championship will run under the new RS Clubman permit.

The RS Club permit will allow drivers to race at Rye and gain signatures towards an interclub licence without having to do a full ARKS test.

The free and easily accessible RS Clubman licence can be applied for online and completed in less than 15 minutes with an online ARKS theory test to complete the application.

This new form of licencing will suit beginners looking for a simple stepping stone to MSUK racing and provide experienced racers with a championship that has the structure and standardised regulations of MSUK racing. It will also provide the reassurance that judicial procedures are followed and overseen by licenced officials, to allow clean fair racing.

The FOC licence will also offer competitors the peace of mind of personal accident insurance in the event of the unexpected as well as a host of other MSUK member benefits.

The RS Clubman licence is free to drivers, the licence can be downloaded as digital versions and kept on your phone.

The online application will take at most around 15 minutes. Any questions with the application please contact or email [email protected]

There is an online theory test for over 18s to complete which will be available in the new year. Under 18s will need to attend a free session to complete their theory test at the track. These sessions will be available early next year, prior to the season starting. There will also be sessions available on race weekends to get your licence without any extra travelling.

If it’s your first race you will also be monitored by an MSUK official during practice and qualifying to ensure you are competent and safe to be on track. It is recommended that drivers have already taken part in an NKA outdoor karting session or IKR session before attending a practice day.

If you already have an Interclub/ National licence, this can be used to gain signatures for an upgrade to National / international licence.

You can only race at Rye House with the RS licence at present, once you have done 6 events at Rye you can upgrade to an interclub licence and race all over the UK.

Parents/guardians of a driver under 18 years of age must apply for a PG Licence.

Application forms are not currently online. Please print and complete the form and send in the post.

PG licences are £27.

We pride ourselves on the safeguarding of minors at the circuit and PG licences help with the safety of under 18s at the track.

We aim to run grids for:

Comer Bambino
Honda Cadet 160 / 200
Micro Max
Junior Rotax
Senior Rotax
177 Rotax.

Alternative grids are welcome subject to minimum numbers.

All drivers who wish to compete under the RS Clubman licence must be assessed by a registered member of staff to ensure they are competent.

These sessions will cover driver safety, flags and of course an on track assessment to ensure the driver is up to standard.

Our driver assessments will run on the Saturday (the optional practice day) of each race weekend from 8am until 9am.

Assessment will last no longer than 1 hour and are FREE!
